TEFL Jobs Abroad

Finding a TEFL Job

Your perfect teaching English job

There’s a global shortage of English teachers, so most people who study TEFL courses online have lots of options. You’ll have a better chance at your first job interview if you show you’ve invested some time in TEFL training.

At LoveTEFL, we’d always encourage you to become fully engaged with your students and integrate well with the people you’re teaching. We’d really love you to be confident in your job as well. If you invest a little time in an online TEFL course, you’ll know how to handle classroom situations effectively, and your students will benefit from that. Without a qualification, you’d find it harder to get one of the better jobs and you might find your career progression is quite slow.

What qualifications do I need?

The 120 hour TEFL certificate is often all you need to get a job teaching English as a foreign language.

Don’t forget that LoveTEFL invest a lot of time in helping our students get paid employment. When you finish our TEFL course, that’s not the end of the story. We can advise you on things like work visas, flights, accommodation and all the practical aspects of moving abroad.

Need some support?

We understand that it’s a big commitment

You might not be ready to jet off to a foreign country on your own. We understand that it’s a big commitment. That’s why we run the Supported Jobs programme.

Supported Jobs is a free package which includes a job for one year in Thailand or China, a respectable salary and support from a LoveTEFL rep during your stay. Students on our Supported Jobs programme never have to muddle through without help. LoveTEFL reps run work seminars and refresher courses to help you succeed in your new job, and they can help you find your way around and find somewhere nice to live.

A community of teachers

When you travel to Thailand or China with our free Supported Jobs scheme, you’ll be joining up to 100 other new English teachers from all over the world. That means you’re always in a group, you’re always supported and you’ll always have someone who can answer questions and give you a hand.

Places on the Supported Jobs programme are limited. You don’t need to be TEFL trained to apply: we offer an online TEFL course to train you before you go. Apply today and see where TEFL could take you.
